Abstract

The purpose of this dissertation is to clarify the current economical and social business problem that emerges through the neglecting integration of disabled people in the business society. Furthermore, this dissertation shows what disability is, what discrimination means and what needs to be changed. While going through the different perspectives, business performance is kept in the back of the mind.

The disability issue in business society is explained and discussed in the following steps: The dissertation starts with the UK legislation, which is often changing, caused by new EU directives. Actually, the whole discrimination issue is based on EU directives. The objective is to make visible, which economical and social results of current western behaviour are provoked by the disability issue.

As the integration of disabled people in business society is staggering, threats must be a reason for a company to exclude them. The goal is to clarify which threats exist and in which circumstances they appear.

The summit of this dissertation is to show the opportunities that emerge inside a company concerning the disability issue. The aim is to show that the repression in our society should be turned into an opportunity.

The conclusion will give a logical answer to the introduction.
